Interfaith’s Wish List consists of “wishes”
submitted by individual programs. Carrying out our mission of
Linking Older
Adults With a Caring Community
involves multiple levels of staff, volunteers, and day to day
materials.
Our programs operate with funding from a variety of
sources, all with the stipulation of providing services,
with very little funding allotted for all the materials and/or extras
it takes to provide them.
If you can make a wish come true, either by
supplying the actual wish item or by supplying the monetary funds to
purchase the wish item, click the name below each wish list item
Wii games by Nintendo have
proven to provide great exercise for older adults. Our senior
centers are hoping to receive Wii games with an emphasis on exercise and/or mind strengthening games in order to keep this new
activity fun and exciting for their particpants.
Gas cards for Good Neighbor Volunteers that
cut grass during the summer and shovel snow during the winter.
This program has up to 200 volunteers - any number of donations is
welcome.
The 15 sites of the Neighborhood Outreach Program have limited budgets. All help with administrative costs is greatly appreciated. The stamps will be primarily used to send birthday and greeting cards to isolated older adults.
RSVP volunteers hold fairs at our community's schools that teach children crafts and provide valuable interaction with older adults. Items that are needed include: yarn, craft beads, cotton fabric for quilts, stickers for young children, etc.
The senior center van is getting old and we are considering a replacement ... we need
one in good condition, reliable .... must be in great shape and mini
van size. We are researching purchasing a different van ... and we
thought it couldn't hurt to put it out as a wish list as well.
