Woodshop Host at Interfaith Senior Centers

The Interfaith Senior Centers are looking for a Wood Shop Host.

This volunteer would
supervise the wood shop and provide instruction and assistance to participants.

Duties/Responsibilities:          

·         Ensure all wood shop participants have been through the orientation and are on the check list.
·         Ensure all participants are working in a safe environment.
·         Implement introductory and advance classes developed in collaboration with the wood shop coordinator.
·         Assist participants with the use of equipment and projects. Be available to answer questions.
·         Ensure the wood shop is clean, organized and in order at the end of the day.

 Qualifications/Requirements: 

·         Knowledge of wood working and wood working machinery
·         Ability to teach wood working skills and guide participants with individual projects.
·         Must be friendly, patient, dependable, organized, and responsible.
·         Must complete orientation and commit to attending wood shop coordinator's monthly training/project sharing workshops.

Training to Be Provided: On-site by Woodshop Coordinator
