Unrestricted contributions to Interfaith Older Adult Programs are always appreciated. You may prefer to designate a particular program or service.
Your employer may be willing to match your gift to Interfaith
Special Gifts
Special gifts made to Interfaith Older Adult Programs in honor of family and friends at times such as Mother's Day or Father's Day; at the birth of a child or grandchild; or on a birthday, wedding, anniversary, or other notable occasion can be gifts of love that show how much you care.
Many people choose to designate Interfaith Older Adult Programs to receive memorials at the time of a death.
Bequests
A bequest established by a will is the most common way to leave assets to qualified charitable organizations at death. A will is an easy and effective way to provide for family while insuring that assets are distributed as desired. Many friends have remembered Interfaith in their wills while also providing for the needs of their families.
Providing for Interfaith Older Adult Programs in a will can be as simple as including the following sentence:
- "I give, devise and bequeath to Interfaith Older Adult Programs, Inc. __% of my estate to be used for its general purposes."
- "I give, devise and bequeath to Interfaith Older Adult Programs, Inc. $_____ to be used for its general purposes."
- "I give, devise and bequeath to Interfaith Older Adult Programs, Inc. ____% of the residue of my estate to be used for its general purposes."
If you prefer, a bequest can be designated for a specific program or service. Charitable gifts made through your will are 100% deductible for estate tax purposes.
Gifts of Securities
Many friends prefer to donate a gift of appreciated securities to Interfaith rather than a gift of cash because of the extra tax benefits.
The donor benefits two ways by donating appreciated securities
- The donor may deduct the full fair market value of the securities (if owned more than one year)
- The donor saves again by avoiding capital gains taxes.
Life Insurance
Naming Interfaith as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy may allow a donor to make a more substantial gift than otherwise possible. If Interfaith is the owner as well as beneficiary of the policy, the premium payments can be deductible as a charitable gift. The donor can also deduct an amount equal to the cash surrender value at the time the gift is made.
Non Cash Gifts
Non cash gifts are accepted with the approval of the board of directors.
