Who We Are & What We Do
Interfaith Older Adult Programs coordinates the services of 13 meal sites in Milwaukee County. These locations are safe, comfortable and easily accessible to the senior population.
Our goal is to provide one third of an older adult’s nutritional daily requirement. It is equally important to provide an enjoyable environment for our diners. Interfaith’s Senior Dining Program presents the opportunity for diners to have a well-balanced, hot, nutritious meal and take part in fun and/or educational activities with others.
Who Do We Serve?
The Program is open to ALL SENIORS age 60 & over and spouse of any age (regardless of income). Interfaith runs 13 dining sites throughout Milwaukee County.
Doors Open at 9:30 a.m. & Meals Served at 11:30 a.m. – Monday through Friday
What Does the Service Cost?
As a participant you are encouraged to contribute towards the cost of your meal. The suggested donation is $2.00.
All meals must be reserved at least one day in advance in person or by telephone.
Registration Information
The first time you go to a dining center you will be asked to fill out a Registration Card (proof of age, such as a Driver’s License, Senior Citizen ID Card, etc. is required). Information such as name, address, and date of birth is needed. The back of the card contains a nutrition related questionnaire.
The best time to register is between the hours of 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
After the Registration Card is completed, you will be given a Diner’s Card to use each time you make a reservation to eat.
What We Accomplish?
Access to low cost, nutritious meals can have a tremendous positive impact on an older adult’s life. Better nutrition can mean better health and increased independence. As an added benefit, meal sites provide a daily social opportunity that might not otherwise occur for these individuals.
