Who We Are & What We Do
RSVP Senior Corps is a national network of active older Americans, 55 years of age and older, who meet a variety of needs throughout the United States. RSVP Senior Corps members have been sharing their life experiences and serving Milwaukee County non-profit organizations, health care facilities, and schools for 25 years.
Who We Serve
During 2007 RSVP Senior Corps linked 485 volunteers with over 100 Milwaukee County non-profit organizations. This year RSVP has volunteers at over 100 organizations. These RSVP volunteers provided 112,000 hours of service and made a significant contribution to the quality of life in Milwaukee County communities.
What You Get
Benefits of RSVP membership include:
- Civic Participation in Your Community - RSVP members share their lifetime of experience with the organizations that need them.
- Getting Things Done - RSVP members are part of a national movement of Community and National Service whose goal is to transform America through the involvement of its citizens.
- Helping Yourself - research indicates that civic participation adds quality to life: learn new skills, meet the needs of your community, and gain new friendships.
What Does RSVP Senior Corps Service Cost
All RSVP services are free because of the support of the Corporation for National and Community Service, the Wisconsin Bureau of Aging and Long Term Care Resources and individual donations.
